Bramford Cock Inn Objection Letter

When CARE Suffolk was asked by a couple of local residents to look into a new planning application we agreed to take a look at the proposals.

The proposal was to build a bungalow in the garden and park of the car park of The Cock Inn in Bramford. We discovered it would take up more than half of the current pub garden and reduce the size of the car park.

The Cock Inn is a well used pub and customers come from within the growing village of Bramford, neighbouring villages who have no pub or have lost theirs to housing already, and from tourism. It is also the last pub in Bramford, after losing The Angel in 2011 to housing, and the the garden is the last bit of public green space along The Street, which is the main core road of the village.

After reading the proposals CARE Suffolk agreed to submit a comment, and are pleased to announce our OBJECTION has been submitted.

If you too wish to make a comment on the planning application the deadline for public comments has been extended to 5th January 2021. You can see our response in the Documents tab, and make your own comment in the Comments tab here. It is application DC/20/05586.

  1. As I have found out this year and COVID-19 open space is important for your mental health. So if you want to stop suicide and create a better environment stop building enough is enough otherwise let those with mental health conditions who take their lives be on your conscience.
